Joseph Abhold, Ph.D.
Dean of Students
Dean Abhold came to UW-Eau Claire in 2013 after serving as director of the University Counseling Center at UW Oshkosh. He has a background in psychology and served as a staff psychologist and assistant director of clinical services at the Counseling and Psychological Services Center at Ball State University from 1993-99. He received the UW System Board of Regents Academic Staff Award for Excellence in 2011. Dean Abhold received his bachelor's degree in psychology from UW Oshkosh and his master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Assistant Dean of Students
Dean Bonneville has worked in the field of Student Affairs for the past 23 years in the areas of residence life, academic advising, orientation, counseling, First Year Experience, judicial affairs, and domestic student exchange. She began her career at UW-Eau Claire in 2003 coordinating new student orientation. She became Assistant Dean of Students in 2010. Before that she worked and studied at the University of Minnesota, Duluth; South Dakota State University; the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Student Assistance Coordinator/Conduct Officer
Josh joined UW-Eau Claire in the fall of 2014. Prior to his work at UW-Eau Claire, Josh practiced Marriage and Family Therapy in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University. Since joining UW-Eau Claire, Josh has been active on campus as an Academic Advisor in the College of Business, member of the LGBTQA Advisory Board, Trainer for Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Effective People, Connect Trainer for preventing suicide on college campuses, and Advisor for the Computer & Console Gaming Group.
Spencer, JoAnn, Emma
