Access to Public Records


Teresa E. O’Halloran, Assistant to the Chancellor for Affirmative Action, has been designated Legal Custodian for Public Records Requests for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.


Requests for public records may be filed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Requests will be responded to as soon as practicable, normally within five (5) business days.


Requests for records may be made orally or in writing. The Legal Custodian’s office has a form available for your use in making a written request.


Copies of records shall be made for $.25 per page. There will be an additional charge if your request requires a search or asks for specialized documents (such as photographs). If the estimated costs related to the records exceed $10.00, prepayment may be required.
