Nontraditional Student Coordinator
I am the adviser to nontraditional, undeclared and transfer students at UWEC. I love helping students explore majors and offer course planning.
I was born and raised in a small community south of Eau Claire. I completed my associates degree from UW-Barron County in Rice Lake, Wisconsin in 1977. I then worked until I was married and we began our family. After 14 years, I returned to UW-Eau Claire and over the next seven years worked part-time at completing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies while working fulltime at UWEC. After graduation, I was immediately accepted into the Guidance and Counseling graduate program at UW-Stout in Menomonie, graduating three years later with my master’s degree. I have been employed at UWEC in various roles since 1990. I currently live near Mondovi with my husband, Michael, our youngest son, David, and our lovable beagle, “Lila”. My husband and I have three older daughters, Laura --a family practice physician in Chippewa Falls; Sarah --a registered nurse living in Minnesota with her three children; and Heidi --a registered nurse living in Southern Wisconsin.

Were you undeclared?
No, but exploring and being undeclared is OK!
