Purpose of the Organization
The vision of Successful Children’s Network is “all children in the Chippewa Valley will enter school ready to succeed.” Children from the target population (children ages birth to five, in households below 200% of the poverty guidelines) will enter school with age-appropriate development in the following areas: health and physical well-being; social and emotional development; and language and general knowledge. The Successful Children’s Network is designed to be a regional early childhood system, pulling together existing resources, establishing a strong connective service web, and facilitating the addition of supplemental services, when needed.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
Volunteers are needed throughout the year. We are currently recruiting looking for volunteers to mentor parents, locate local resources to help out families, assist at rural playgroups and provide child care for parent education classes, and give support to staff of local service providers. Contact United Way for the most current opportunities.
