The Happiness Project
The Happiness Project is a collaborative effort between the University Activities Commission and the Activities, Involvement, and Leadership Office to promote a campus community filled with happiness.
We strive to create and spread happiness across the student body and community through three facets: gratitude, kindness, and giving.
Elements of the Happiness Project
Each Tuesday volunteers from the University Activities Commission will target increasing students' gratitude through random activities, give-aways, and conversation starters. Research shows that practicing gratitude increases positive moods compared to individual's who do not practice gratitude. Additionally, people who practice gratitude are more likely to support people and complete acts of service.
Intentional Acts of Kindness
Once a month, the Activities, Involvement, and Leadership Office will coordinate an event to promote kindness. Events align with national holidays supporting encouragement, service, and gratitude.

Driving for Happiness
Each month there will be a donation drive which will be given to local community organizations such as the Eau Claire Area School District or the Beacon House. The donation drives will each last an entire month.
