Walk This Way - May 18-21, 2009

For campus pastors & staff

Walk the Walk and Talk their Talk

In his book They Like Jesus But Not the Church, Dan Kimball says most people in our emerging culture, especially late teens to thirties, are not listening to us anymore. They are disappearing from most of our churches. Our Synod statistics affirm this fact. Spend time discussing ways to think like a missionary on campus. Facilitator: Pastor Tom Trapp (UW-Madison)

Showing Others the Light

Use your Campus Ministry for outreach. Find out ways to help teach students to do outreach to their friends and fellow students on our college campuses. Facilitator: Pastor Bill Limmer, Point of Grace (UW-Milwaukee)

Teach them to Walk

Our young college students are tomorrow’s leaders in our congregations. We have a great leadership and training ground in our campus ministries. Bring your ideas and the different ways that you are training students and network with other pastors to help each other as you see your campus ministry as a leadership/ministry training center for tomorrow’s leaders. Facilitator: Pastor Glenn Schwanke (Michigan Tech University)

Walking with Technology

Discover low-cost technology tools to help you reduce costs and boost your campus ministry. Facilitator: Matt Zuhlke (UW-Madison)
