This image does an excellent job of summarizing my research: how has the Khe Sanh battlefield changed since the Second Indochina War? On the left we see an image looking out from Hill 558 towards Hill 950 taken in 1968. On the right is an image looking the same direction, only taken in 2004. As you can see there are a lot of changes in the landscape since the war, crops are growing in the valleys, roads are cut into the sides of the hills, and in some areas forests have been regrown while in others they have been cut down. This is the sort of dynamic I will attempt to analyze and show to you in this research.
