g2: Rotation and stretching of harp glissando
In
the figures below we show how the structure g2 is a rotation and
stretching over a longer time-scale of the harp glissando g1. The
image on the left is a spectrogram of the passage that constains both
the harp glissando structure g1 and the longer structure g2. The
middle image shows a spectrogram with the structure g2 selectively
amplified (the other sounds are left unaffected, an altering of the
figure-ground relations in the passage)---we can hear the harp notes
more clearly standing out from the background. Finally, the image
on the right shows a spectrogram with the structure g2 isolated.
We can hear the harp notes clearly ascending in a long stretched
out glissando of harp notes.

Finally
in the figure below, we show a zooming in on this last spectrogram over
one octave between 160 and 320 Hz. The resemblance to (at least
part) of the structure g1 is striking.
