The cerebellum is involved with numerous aspects of brain function during musical experience. It encodes automatic learned procedures, as in performing well-practiced music and dancing. It is involved in control of movement (as in playing instruments, or singing, or dancing, or even just foot tapping). It is involved with emotional reactions, via connections with both the amygdala and the pre-frontal cortex.
