The mission of Women’s and Gender Equity (WAGE) is to advocate for the welfare of those who have historically been marginalized because of their sexual and/or gender identity. We endeavor to create a supportive environment fostering good will, tolerance and respect for people of all religions, races, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender. Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusiveness is reflected in all WAGE programs and services.
The WAGE staff provides resources, information and programming in collaboration with existing departments, advisory committees, organizations, and offices that address issues and challenges facing the university community. WAGE supports a just community through sponsorship of intellectual, personal, and cultural development programming.
The WAGE Center in Schofield 34, houses meeting and seminar space, computing and e-mail stations, a Moms Room for infant care and lactation activity, the WAGE coordinators office, referral and programming information and an adjacent lounge for evening groups.
