The Veteran's Club participates in many community events; bringing awareness to the community about veterans. Recently the veteran's, along with, Mirranda Cross-Schindler, advisor and Military Education Benefits Cordinator, ran in the Shamrock Shuffle.

Given that the club has been recently reactivated, member input will have a significant impact upon the club’s activities and objectives. The following is a list of current goals as envisioned by the officers:

Provide an environment where camaraderie can be developed within the community of    veteran students at UWEC.
Assist new veteran students and their families with the transition to Eau Claire and their integration into UWEC.

Provide entertainment in the form of BBQ’s, movies, organized events/trips and anything else the membership wishes to pursue.

Provide a voice for veterans on campus to facilitate the attainment of goals relevant to the needs of our community.

Gain funding through various venues to provide financing for club activities, emergency loans to veteran students in need and scholarships to UWEC veterans.

Interface with local veteran organizations to facilitate the distribution of information about benefits and opportunities available to our members. (VA, VFW, AmVets, American Legion, etc).

Assist local veteran organizations in attaining their goals.
