This Week: Casual Night
Welcome to the Tolarian Academy, the Magic: the Gathering playgroup and club at the University of Wisconsin: Eau Claire. The Tolarian Academy is dedicated to providing an opportunity for players of Magic: the Gathering to get together and play the game. We work on-campus to promote the game through open teaching on casual nights, as well as occasional Learner's Nights, as well as other promotional activities. We also provide the greater Eau Claire area with a place to come on occasion for open gaming, and some of the best prize structures in upper Wisconsin.
We hold casual nights on a weekly basis, on Monday nights whenever classes are in session. Tournaments are held approximately once per month, usually towards the end of the month. Events applicable are sanctioned through one of our three DCI Tournament Organizers, two of which are regular members.
This website is a resource for members to keep updated on the overall runnings of Tolarian Academy. Here you will find several sections. Our members section is a directory of all active members, as well as players within the university that visit on occasion. Our articles section will refer you to some very nice internal and external articles on the game. Our web forums are open to anyone, and is our online community for the most up-to-date news and discussions on just about anything. Our outside links page will give you several sites outside of here which are generally felt as the best sites online for all forms of resources.
