The women’s basketball team competed in the Division III tournament for the second year in a row after finishing third in the conference. The team advanced to the second round of the championship before falling. Heidi Arciszewski and Heather Witt both earned first-team All-Conference honors, while Arciszewski also was honored on the D3hoops.com All-Central Region Second Team. The men’s basketball team took fifth place in the conference this season, achieving its highest finish since the 2000-01 season. Dan Beyer was selected as a first team All-WIAC member for the second year in a row. Beyer ended his career with the Blugolds in eighth place on the men’s all-time scoring list with 1,550 points, while Arciszewski was fourth on the women’s list with 1,434.
The men’s and women’s hockey teams both made it to the NCHA quarterfinals with the men finishing in seventh place in the conference with a record of 13- 13-1, while the women were ourth in the standings with a record of 12-11-3. For the men, Sean Garrity and Greg Petersen earned first-team All-NCHA honors, while Kristen Faber led the women with first-team honors. A total of nine Blugolds also were NCHA All-Academic selections.
