- According to the American Institute of Physics, UW-Eau Claire graduated an average of 13 physics majors per year during the three-year timeframe (2006-08) of the institute’s study. Just 16 of the 505 bachelor’s-degree-granting departments at U.S. colleges and universities graduated more physics majors during that same time period.
- UW-Eau Claire was ranked sixth nationally — the highest of any Wisconsin college or university — in the number of chemistry graduates among the 335 colleges and universities that offer American Chemical Society-approved undergraduate chemistry programs, according to the ACS’s Committee on Professional Training. Forty UW-Eau Claire students graduated with degrees in chemistry during the 2007-08 timeframe used by ACS-CPT to develop its rankings.
- In a study conducted by a professor at the University of Arkansas, UW-Eau Claire’s College of Business was ranked among the top 100 universities internationally for ongoing IS research in 2007-09, and Matt Germonprez, assistant professor of information systems at UW-Eau Claire, currently is ranked among the top 100 individual IS researchers. This follows a top 100 ranking for the College of Business for 2006-08.
