Lori Kampa ’98, a UW-Eau Claire communications graduate and head of promotion at Dualtone Records, directed the promotional campaign for the Lumineers’ hit song “Ho Hey,” which was named 2013 Song of the Year at the Friday Morning Quarterback Inc.’s annual Triple A Radio Conference last August.
Founded in 2001, Dualtone is a Nashville-based boutique indie label that has garnered a total of 17 Grammy nominations and four wins. The Lumineers’ self-titled debut album, released by Dualtone in 2012, was one of music’s biggest breakout success stories of the year, selling almost 1.6 million copies in the U.S. and 2.4 million worldwide.
