The sangria, which is made in Wisconsin at an environmentally friendly winery in Algoma, is now available at more than 80 retail locations. The couple decided to go into business at the urgings of family and friends.
Zdroik also is a food resource manager for Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. She said her work in fighting hunger is balanced by a chance to sell a product that she is passionate about.
Her interest in marketing blossomed during her time at UW-Eau Claire.
“A life-changing moment was when a business professor recommended I attend an information session that promoted marketing as a major,” she said. “I was very taken by the speakers who came to discuss the various ways they use marketing within their careers and decided to take the same path.”
