William “Bill” Domina ’82

Bill Domina William “Bill” Domina ’82 has been appointed to the criminal bench of Waukesha County circuit court. He fills the seat of a retiring judge and will stand for election in April 2011.

Serving as Milwaukee County’s chief legal counsel since 2003, Domina gained a reputation for unbiased statement of the law and aggressive advocacy for the interests of Milwaukee County. One high-profile case involving a contentious pension scandal resulted in the ouster of a county executive, and Domina’s representation led to one of the largest settlements in U.S. history for actuarial malpractice.

Domina, who was a business administration major at UW-Eau Claire, fondly recalls working for campus TV10, where he hosted “The Roommate Game,” and having great seats to the Blugold basketball games because he did color commentary.

“My time at UW-Eau Claire provided a strong foundation for my work by preparing me to think on my feet, to fight for what is right and to never give up,” he said.

Domina is married to attorney Julie Gay ’80, and they have two children.
