The McRaith family of Rice Lake is well-represented among the ranks of UW-Eau Claire alumni. Five of the family’s seven siblings graduated from UW-Eau Claire as did the spouses of two of them.
Pictured clockwise from bottom left are Tim McRaith ’01, who received a master’s degree in English and teaches at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Rice Lake; Scott Siewert ’90, a psychology graduate married to Maureen; Patrick McRaith ’07, a geography graduate who works for Target.com; Maureen McRaith ’88, a communication arts and English graduate who works for Charter Bank in Eau Claire; Mike McRaith ’03, a religious studies graduate who is a guidance counselor in Vermont; Denise Degidio ’94, an art graduate married to Tim; and Michael Siewert, age 11, son of Maureen and Scott who, along with his brother, Sam, 14, is contemplating his future as a prospective Blugold.
Not pictured is Erin McRaith ’91, a communication arts graduate and fourth-grade teacher who currently is volunteering in Rwanda.
The McRaith siblings report that the quality education, affordability and proximity to family that UW-Eau Claire provided led to its being the college of choice.
