Telephone Services
Telephone Services supports the campus telephone system by providing the following services:
- Installing, moving, and maintaining telephone lines and equipment.
- Assisting in the purchase of telephone equipment, including electronic telephone sets.
- Processing orders for voice mail, cellular service, toll-free numbers, special telephone services, and calling cards.
- Advising and helping with telephone service problems.
- Processing charge backs for services provided by the UWEC telephone technicians as well as for service and calling charges billed by various telephone service providers.
- Coordinating the production of the University telephone directories.
Information about calling procedures and the basic functions available in the UW-Eau Claire telephone system is printed in the UW-Eau Claire telephone directories under the heading "Telephone Services Information".
Service Requests
All requests for telephone service should be submitted via email or paper memo at least two weeks in advance. Call or email any time with questions or problems. Telephone Services can be reached as follows:

Directories
The UW-Eau Claire "Student Campus" directory is published each Fall Semester and distributed to all university staff and students. It contains directory listings of faculty, staff, departments, emeriti faculty, and students. In addition, it provides emergency numbers, calling procedures, university offices, Housing and Residence Life information, campus map, and student exchange and foreign study participants, as well as coupons and a yellow pages section.
For the most up to date directory information, UW-Eau Claire also provides an "electronic directory", the UW-Eau Claire Web site directory. This resource is updated daily.

Voice Mail
Since November 1, 1999, voice mail has been provided by Ameritech and Baypoint Innovations. The State of Wisconsin Department of Administration provides extensive information about the voice mail system at Voice Mail Instructions.
Voice mail service changes should be submitted to Telephone Services as indicated above under "Service Requests".
