Viennese Ball
The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Viennese Ball is held each year in April and is the largest Viennese Ball outside of Vienna, Austria itself! This event, which is attended by people from all over the world, is two nights of music, food, and ballroom dancing.
The 39th annual Viennese Ball is scheduled for Friday, April 12, 2013 and Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 6:30 pm until 1 am and will be held at the new W. R. Davies University Center. Ticket order forms will be available February 2013.
Dancing starts each night at 8:30 pm and features the University Symphony Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble 1 which alternate music throughout the night. Dancing is generally limited to Viennese Waltz and Swing.
A second room features the sounds of Dorf Kapelle for your Polka dancing pleasure. Dorf Kapelle was recently named one of the top five entertainers at German Fest in Milwaukee. In 2008, they were voted a cultural heritage award winner by the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame.
