To give our members quality lessons, T3 has student instructors who are professionally trained at Goggin Ballroom Dance Studio here in Eau Claire.
Sara Baye
Lead Instructor
Hey, I’m Sara and I am the Lead Instructor at Two to Tango. My start in T3 came from me accompanying a friend to a beginning of the year basketball court dance. I tried to hide outside the fence where I wouldn’t have to participate and well…. we all know how well that worked out! I had no dance experience before college, but I’ve been dancing with T3 for five years now and I’ve loved every minute. While I have yet to find a dance I really don’t like, Tango holds a special place in my heart. This is my last year in my pursuit of a music education degree with a Spanish liberal arts minor. Being involved in Two to Tango, the Blugold Marching Band, and BAB (among many other things), I have the luxury of spending close to every waking hour listening, playing, and dancing to music! I can’t believe how lucky I am to have met the friends I have in this organization, and I hope in the future you’ll be one of them!
Roxie Accola
Student Instructor

Hi everyone! I’m Roxie and I’m a junior physics major, premed. I’m from Sauk Prairie, a small town just northwest of Madison, WI. I discovered Two to Tango when a group of friends and I decided to attend the demo lesson our freshman year, and I don’t think I missed a lesson after that. Needless to say, I’m forever hooked on ballroom dancing. My favorite dance is usually the one being advertised for the week, although I’m partial to Swing (both coasts!), and the Cupid Shuffle. I’m super excited to be a new student instructor this fall. See you on the dance floor!
Josh DeWitt
Student Instructor
Hello, I'm Josh and I am the President and a Student Instructor for Two to Tango (T3). I am a 5th year Senior and will be entering my 4th year with T3. I am a Biology Education Major with a Music minor. I hail from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where I learned my first dance moves with Swing. East Coast Swing is my favorite dance because of its fast pace and countless moves. I also really enjoy Tango, West Coast Swing, and Viennese Waltz. T3 has allowed me to meet a lot of new people that I would have never met in any other situation. It has given me a skill that I take beyond just T3 and apply it to other asepects of my life. T3 has really become my favorite parts of the week, thanks to all the friends I get to share it with. I hope to be a great leader for all of you, and most importantly dance as much as possible!
John Fisher
Student Instructor
Hi everybody! My name is John Fisher and I’m one of Two to Tango’s student instructors (not to be confused with my twin brother/stunt double Robert Fisher). I’m originally from Maple Grove, Minnesota (a suburb north of the Twin Cities). Currently, I’m majoring in Computer Science as a sophomore here at Eau Claire. Before joining T3, ballroom dancing had never even crossed my mind, but after signing up during the Blugold Organization Bash (BOB) I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ve been with T3 for a year now and whether it’s learning new dances each week or practicing old favorites, T3 has become a very important part of my college life. The best part of T3 has not been the dances I’ve learned (okay they’re the second best part), but rather the new friendships I’ve made along the way. As a student instructor, it is my hope that I can help make Two to Tango just as much fun as it has been for me. Until then, keep an eye out for me on the dance floor (I’ll be the one in two places at once. After all, it takes “Two to Tango”).
Robert Fisher
Student Instructor
Hello, dancers. I’m Robert Fisher and I am a student instructor for Two to Tango. My hometown is Maple Grove, Minnesota, which is a suburb of the Twin Cities. I am a sophomore and Computer Science major at UW-Eau Claire. Also, John Fisher is in fact my twin brother (and my stunt double, regardless of what he says otherwise) in case there was any confusion. Prior to joining T3, I had no ballroom dance experience, but I discovered that I enjoyed learning new dances with my friends each week. The best part about being an instructor is having the opportunity to help others learn and have fun dancing each week. Some of my favorite dances are Swing, Salsa, and Tango, but I am always interested in learning something different. And that’s what great about T3, I am always striving to improve my knowledge and try new things along the way. I guess dance lessons can also be life lessons too! So, if you want to become a better you, then I will see you on the dance floor!
Hannah Heckmann
Student Instructor
Hello! I am Hannah, Co-Vice President and a student instructor for Two to Tango. I am a junior with a Psychology major and for the time being I have a Sociology minor. I got my start in T3 my freshman year with a bunch of girls living in the same dorm as me, it was the first time I had ever tried Ballroom Dancing although I always loved watching it in the movies! Tango, waltz and swing are my top three dances but I have fun with any dance. Over the summer I even did some folk dancing with my grandma! I have made many friends since I became a member of Two to Tango and I can't wait to make more!
Kirsten Medenwald
Student Instructor
Well hello everybody! I’m Kirsten Medenwald, a sophomore here at Eau-Claire. I am an Elementary Education Major with an English minor. I began dancing when I was a little girl when my mother signed me up for tap and jazz dance lessons so she could parade me around in those adorable little kid dance outfits. My dancing career continued when I auditioned for middle school show choir in 6th grade. I continued to perform in show choir for six years as well as dance in my high school’s musicals. Dancing quickly became a highlight of my life. However, as show choir isn’t common at the college level I was afraid my dance journey was coming to an end until I wandered around B.O.B. in the fall of my freshman year and saw the Two to Tango booth. I attended the first lesson and loved it from the very start. I decided right then and there that I wanted to be an instructor some day so I applied/auditioned and now here I am! I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and sharing my love of dance with everyone.
Thomas Nevins
Student Instructor
(Insert enthusiastic salutation here) ! I'm Thomas Nevins, and I'm in my third year as a student instructor for Two to Tango, after a year as one of the members. I am a Junior going for a double major in Physics and Mathematics. My "dance journey" (sounds so epic that way) goes back to middle school watching our local show choir and deciding that I could do that too. So I ended up having four great years in show choir, but at the college level show choir is just not a common thing so I transitioned into social dance like Two to Tango teaches. After the "basketball court dance" I was pretty much decided it was definately the group I wanted to be in. I did not have any interest in being a student instructor though. I am in this position right now for one simple reason, my wonderful fellow instructor Kate Meyers bugged me until I agreed to try it. And here I am! I do enjoy dancing and most anything with coordinated movement, I've also done a lot of karate and I LOVE dodgeball. I'm happy to be teaching the next generation. Moral of the story: If you want someone to join something, you just have to be persistent about pestering them.
Josh Paulson
Student Instructor
Hi there! My name is Josh and I hail from Wausau, WI. I am a freshman studying History at UW-Eau Claire. This is my first year at T3 and I have already learned so much. I've always wanted to learn how to ballroom dance and it feels nice to take that off my bucket list. I started going with a friend at the start of the semester. After going to each lesson I made many more friends and was able to become a student instructor. My favorite dance has to be east coast swing because of the spirit and energy it gives off. Being in T3 has given me much more insight on what dancing truly is and how much fun can be had by learning in an environment surrounded by such wonderful people.
Jake Pederson
Student Instructor
Hello all! I’m Jake, the treasurer and a student instructor for Two to Tango. I'm a Junior here at Eau Claire studying Physics and Computer Science, and with what minimal free-time I have, I spend either dancing or … that’s about all I have time for. I come from Osseo WI, about 20 miles below Eau Claire. My first official contact with ballroom dancing was at the end of Spring 2012 with T3, my current favorite dances would have to be Viennese Waltz and East Coast Swing. I went to V-Ball this past spring for the first time and I’m definitely going again, I have also been to a handful of swing dances, so those two dances are the ones I have the most practice with (that may be the reason for the partiality). We’re doing a lot more than V-Waltz and Swing this year though, so be sure to get on the mailing list so you don’t miss a thing!
Olivia Thill
Student Instructor
Hi there! My name is Olivia Thill and I’m a student instructor for Two To Tango. I am a Freshman at UWEC and am currently majoring in Biology. I was first introduced to ballroom dancing when I took a semester long dance class in high school, after which I knew I had to continue. I was thrilled to learn there was a ballroom dance club on campus and joined right away…and now here I am! My absolute favorite dance would have to be East Coast Swing because of the flexibility to make up moves and the music it is danced to (jazz!). I've met so many wonderful people through T3 and look forward to meeting many more. See you on the dance floor!
