Many UWEC students visit or become active members of Two to Tango each school year, so it takes a dedicated and dynamic team of executives to keep T3 running smoothly.

Josh Dewitt

President

Josh Dewitt.Hello, my name is Josh and I am the President and a Student Instructor for Two to Tango (T3). I am a 5th year Senior and will be entering my 4th year with T3. I am a Biology Education Major with a Music minor. I hail from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where I learned my first dance moves with Swing. East Coast Swing is my favorite dance because of its fast pace and countless moves. I also really enjoy Tango, West Coast Swing, and Viennese Waltz. T3 has allowed me to meet a lot of new people that I would have never met in any other situation. It has given me a skill that I take beyond just T3 and apply it to other aspects of my life. T3 has really become my favorite parts of the week, thanks to all the friends I get to share it with. I hope to be a great leader for all of you, and most importantly dance as much as possible!

Hannah Heckmann

Co-Vice President

Hannah Heckmann.Hello! I am Hannah, Co-Vice President and a student instructor for Two to Tango. I am a junior with a Psychology major and for the time being I have a Sociology minor. I got my start in T3 my freshman year with a bunch of girls living in the same dorm as me, it was the first time I had ever tried Ballroom Dancing although I always loved watching it in the movies! Tango, waltz and swing are my top three dances but I have fun with any dance. Over the summer I even did some folk dancing with my grandma! I have made many friends since I became a member of Two to Tango and I can't wait to make more!

Becca Yahr

Co-Vice President

Becca Yahr. Hi, I'm Becca! I'm a junior here at UWEC, double majoring in History and English Literature with a German minor. I'm from West Bend, Wisconsin, which is just north of the Milwaukee area. My life is consumed by a passion for beautiful things like art, music, travel, and culture, and I have always thought that the idea of ballroom dancing was really interesting, but never knew how to get into it. After returning from my study abroad experience last Spring, I decided that I had had enough of not knowing and joined T3. Now dancing can be added to that list of passions. I'm so glad that I was given the opportunity to be an instructor because it means I get to share my love of dance with others.

Kirsten Medenwald

Secretary

Kirsten Medenwald.Well hello everybody! I’m Kirsten Medenwald, a sophomore here at Eau-Claire. I am an Elementary Education Major with an English minor. I began dancing when I was a little girl when my mother signed me up for tap and jazz dance lessons so she could parade me around in those adorable little kid dance outfits. My dancing career continued when I auditioned for middle school show choir in 6th grade. I continued to perform in show choir for six years as well as dance in my high school’s musicals. Dancing quickly became a highlight of my life. However, as show choir isn’t common at the college level I was afraid my dance journey was coming to an end until I wandered around B.O.B. in the fall of my freshman year and saw the Two to Tango booth. I attended the first lesson and loved it from the very start. I decided right then and there that I wanted to be an instructor some day so I applied/auditioned and now here I am! I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and sharing my love of dance with everyone.

Jake Pederson

Treasurer

Jake Pederson.Hello all! I’m Jake, the treasurer and a student instructor for Two to Tango. I'm a Junior here at Eau Claire studying Physics and Computer Science, and with what minimal free-time I have, I spend either dancing or … that’s about all I have time for. I come from Osseo WI, about 20 miles below Eau Claire. My first official contact with ballroom dancing was at the end of Spring 2012 with T3, my current favorite dances would have to be Viennese Waltz and East Coast Swing. I went to V-Ball this past spring for the first time and I’m definitely going again, I have also been to a handful of swing dances, so those two dances are the ones I have the most practice with (that may be the reason for the partiality). We’re doing a lot more than V-Waltz and Swing this year though, so be sure to get on the mailing list so you don’t miss a thing!

James Truchinski

Sergeant at Arms

James Truchinski. Greetings dance enthusiasts, I am a instructor for Two to Tango. I'm currently a sophomore working on a double major in Math and Physics. Prior to my participation in the early semester event "Nine," I had no dance experience whatsoever. In fact, the idea of dancing, had either never crossed my mind, or at least had never been given serious consideration. In spite of this, I found myself tempted into attending Nine with a few people from my floor and ended up being drawn in by the experience it provided. It could only follow that I immediately took a greater interest in the group responsible and so I became a member of T3. However, at the time I had only a general interest in becoming better at dancing and a specific interest in being less of a danger to my surroundings, the idea of instructing had not crossed my mind. I am in this position due to Kate exercising her powers of persuasion and convincing me to try out. Moral of the story: beware of Kate.

Sara Fisher

Co-Public Relations

Sara Fisher.Sara here; this is my third year here at UWEC, I'm a Sociology and Economics double major from Sheboygan Falls, Wi, (which is about 10 minutes away from Sheboygan & on the same river, but you know we've got a 5 foot tall waterfall...) Anyway, the first time I ever did any kind of ballroom dance was here at T3, my only experience with social dance at all before that is if you count square dancing for Mrs. Dorn's gym class as a sophomore in high school, but from the first lesson I've loved being here! I'm really excited about being on exec board this year and taking on a greater role in helping make sure T3 is the best it can be. My favorite dances are Swing and Salsa and my favorite part about T3 is getting to meet so many great people. So come check out T3 and feel free to ask me to dance!

Roxie Accola

Co-Public Relations

Roxie Accola.
Hi everyone! I’m Roxie and I’m a junior physics major, premed. I’m from Sauk Prairie, a small town just northwest of Madison, WI. I discovered Two to Tango when a group of friends and I decided to attend the demo lesson our freshman year, and I don’t think I missed a lesson after that. Needless to say, I’m forever hooked on ballroom dancing. My favorite dance is usually the one being advertised for the week, although I’m partial to Swing (both coasts!), and the Cupid Shuffle. I’m super excited to be a new student instructor this fall. See you on the dance floor!

Dr. Taylor

Dr. T.

Executive Advisor

Hello! My name is Dr. Taylor, although most students just call me Dr. T. I was a member of T3 for some years before being asked to become Advisor. My prior social dance knowledge was primarily in swing although I had learned some ballroom and Latin styles. My primary dance background was in stage dance having performed with both the University of Wisconsin and University of Kansas Dance Departments, the Madison Theatre Guild, and I was invited to join the Wisconsin Ballet Company. I continue to learn new styles and variations through T3 and I very much enjoy helping new dancers improve their skills.
