We bring celebrations to campus! Join the Festivals Committee and help to
plan, organize and publicize the campus-wide festivals that bring people
together -- Homecoming, Winter Carnival and Springfest. More information
and applications for the Homecoming Executive Committee are available
in the Activities and Programs, Davies 133. For Information on UAC

Mr. Freeze Competition • Higherground • 7pm
You'll definitely want to see, or take part in, the fourth annual
Mr. Freeze Competition at Higherground! Watch as the most
entertaining men on campus wow us with their excellent pageant
skills. A panel of judges will select UW-Eau Claire's 2008 Mr.
Freeze based on the following categories; talent, question &
answer, winter apparel and formal wear. Winner walks away
with an awesome crown and bragging rights for a year!

Billiards Tournament • BBC, Hilltop • 7-10pm
The annual and fun-filled Winter Carnival Billiards Tournament
takes place tonight. Come on over to the BBC and show off
your mad billiards skills. There is no charge to enter or play!
  • Sign-up before noon on Thursday, Feb. 14 at the BBC desk (Hilltop).
  • First 16 players will participate in this friendly,
    "best 2 out of 3", single elimination competition


    Valentine's Day Is A Joke!

    Whether you hate it or love it, spend Valentine's night laughing
    at this hilarious comedy show sponsored by the UAC. Featuring
    the talented comedic stylings of nationally touring, Comedy Central appearing, funny guys Daniel Kinno and Robbie Printz, this will
    be an event that will leave you saying: "Boy howdy, that was a fantastically awesome and gut-bustingly funny event."

    Meet the recently crowned Mr. Freeze 2008 and get your
    photo with this newly appointed and powerful campus official.
    The UAC will take your picture with Mr. Freeze and send it
    to you via email. Wouldn't that make a great Facebook photo!

  • All material must be original. No covers. No exceptions.
  • During each round, peformers will be allowed to play ONE song, no more.
  • No more than 7-minutes of performance. No exceptions.
  • 3 Judges will be selected from the audience at random.
  • 2 Judges will be prearranged by the UAC.
  • Each night will be a separate competition (each with its own winner)

    Higherground's adding a little heat to the Winter Carnival schedule
    with this dance party extravaganza. Don't miss your opportunity to
    bust a move to the spinning of UW-Eau Claire's finest DJs.
