some of the world's best movies for only $1 a show. We're also proud to
support local and regional filmmakers by hosting screenings of their works
and also our own UW students with UAC Film's annual STudent
Independent Film FEstival or ST.I.F.FE. Join the committee to select,

Local Independent Filmmakers, along with Chippewa Valley Community
Television
, proudly present another installment of the 48-Hour Video
Project
. The project will kick off at the Community Television complex
located within Banbury Place (800 Wisconsin St., suite 405) on
Friday, October 10 at 7pm. This year's project theme is Fables,
Folklore and Fairy Tales
.

On that Friday evening, a $5 entry will be collected and participants will
recieve the prop and line of dialogue that must appear in their films.
Participants are welcome to script, storyboard and plan their project all
they want, but no filming should be done before the start of the project.

Completed videos should run 1-10 minutes and must be turned in by
7pm on Sunday, October 12. Videos will be turned in to the Community
Television complex. Accepted formats are miniDV, VHS, S-VHS,
digital 8 or a Microsoft AVI burned onto a data DVD-R.

The University Activities Commission Films Committee will host a
screening of completed projects and an awards ceremony for the
winners in Davies Theatre, Davies Center on Tuesday, October 28
at 7pm. The video project screening is free and open to everyone.

Event sponsors include Chippewa Valley Community Television,
for the use of the station and equipment. The University Activities
Commission (UAC) of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate for screening
the films and for the use of Davies Theatre. Volume One for judging,
promotions and materials. Lifetime Memorial for the awards. John's
Movie Corner for prizes. Eau Claire Comics and Collectibles for prizes
