Democracy Matters was officially recognized in May 2005.

The purpose of this organization is to serve as a student outlet for pro-democratic change of the political system. Democracy Matters (Eau Claire Chapter) is a nonpartisan organization which advocates the transformation of Wisconsin's political system, thus ensuring and strengthening the democratic principles upon which this great country was founded. Inactivated 2-29-08 per Robert Nowlan(Advisor).
