Students for Peace became an officially recognized organization in October 2001.

The purpose of the organization is to give UW-Eau Claire undergraduate and graduate students an effective means to operate on their common social concerns and commitment to peace and justice. Students for Peace will make every effort to educate its own members, UW-Eau Claire students, and the Eau Claire community on current issues of peace and justice, both nationally and worldwide.
