The National Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity was founded on April 22, 1914. The Alpha Theta Chapter was chartered at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on November 23, 1963.
The fundamental ideals of AKL are Christian principle, scholarship, leadership, loyalty and self-support; and its purpose is to provide opportunities for cooperative living, social experience, service to others, democratic rule, and betterment of self and of fraternity.
Membership is open to undergraduate male students in good academic standing. (2.0 GPA or better)
The local charter holds its regular meetings every Thursday. Elections are conducted during the last week in November and April.
