Spectrum, formerly The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Straight Alliance, formely GLOBE, was formed in September 1984.

The purpose of this organization is to promote campus awareness by:

  1. making educational materials available
  2. alleviating isolation by providing group interaction in a non-threatening environment
  3. actively pursuing the end of all forms of social, political and legal oppression.

Membership is open to lgbt students and also those who wish to contribute to achieving the goals listed above.

Meetings are held as determined by members.
