The Elementary Education Club was first founded as the Primary Education Club, and was registered as the Elementary Education Club on March 13, 1967. It changed its name to Future Teachers' Club K-9 in April of 1992.
The purposes of the club are: to provide opportunities for education students to meet new friends and have fun, to provide opportunities for freshman and sophomore students in education, to effect a closer relationship between the students and the faculty in the field of education, to provide non-academic activities which result in the personal and professional development of those involved, and to present areas of education which may not be discussed in education courses.
Any student majoring in some area of education is eligible for membership.
Meetings are held monthly at a time and place determined by the officers and advisor. Elections are conducted in May, and new officers assume duties at the beginning of the following school year.
