The Society of Physics Students was formed in November, 1978.
The objectives of the organization will be (a) teach some physics, (b) stimulate greater interest in physics, (c) to increase contact of the general student body with physics, (d) strengthen the physics department.
The Society will consist of all UWEC students who show an interest in physics. To become a member, one must pay the local dues of the society. This organization will not discriminate on non-merit grounds.
Meetings will be held at least once a month during fall and spring terms and may be held more often by general consensus.
Officers will be chosen by a secret ballot on the last meeting of the spring semester.
