Active Organizations

The Physical Education Major/Minor organization was established at UWEC in 1974. Its official nickname is PEMM.

It changed its name to Kinesiology Club in fall of 1996.

The purpose of this organization is to help prepare physical education majors and minors for their professional fields. Other objectives of this organizationare to encourage student cooperation, leadership, and involvement among physical education majors and minors; to help students become better acquainted with the developments in the fields of physical education, recreation, and health; to promote social and professional cooperation between physical education majors and minors and faculty; and to help students become identified with the local and national physical education, health, and recreation associations and to promote cooperation and membership in these associations.

Meetings are held monthly September through May.

Membership is open to all physical education majors, minors, graduate students male or female in the physical education department.

Elections are held in March.
