This organization was officially recognized in February 2005.

The purpose of the LDSSA is to encourage and support members of the organization in achieving their academic goals and maintaining a balanced life while on-campus. In addition, the organization strives to provide students with meaningful service opportunities and social and religious activities that are consistent with LDSSA standards.
