The Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society was founded in 1922. It became an affiliate of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 1946, and is an affiliate of the American Institute of Biological Sciences. Iota Gamma Chapter was formed in 1953 and installed at UW-EC in 1969.
The purpose of Beta Beta Beta is to function as an honor and professional society for students for the biological sciences, with activities designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment and investigation in the biological sciences.
