This organization was re-activated in February, 2000. Formerly SEAC was known as Student Environmental Action Coalition.

The Social and Environmental Action Coalition has been designed to serve the following purposes:

  1. To develop the group's understanding and awareness of our world's social and environmental problems.
  2. To create an environmentally and socially conscious community.
  3. To empower the student body and the community to make them aware of their ability to make changes in the world.
  4. To take strategic and effective non-violent action on local, regional, and global issues which we see as jeopardizing human rights and the balance of nature.
