The Eau Claire Rugby Club was formed in 1981.

The purpose of this organization is to promote the game of rugby football at UWEC and to provide opportunities to students, faculty and staff to participate in the playing, organization and management of rugby.

Membership is open to all UWEC students, faculty and staff.

The club meets as required to practice and accomplish its purposes. Officers are elected at the beginning of each rugby season.
