Active Organizations

It is the purpose of the Hobnailers Club to offer students at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire the opportunity to participate in outdoor recreational activities. The Club provides workshops designed to help the novice ascertain the skills associated with the basic concepts of outdoor recreational activities. Workshops include kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, rappeling, back packing, camping, compass and map reading, cross- country skiing, hang gliding, and environmental ethics. After learning the basic concepts the student will have the opportunity to try his/ her skills by applying what they have learned in an actual outdoor experience.

Membership is open to any student in good standing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The organization shall meet twice monthly during the school year, and the president may call a special meeting any time the need arises.
