Orchesis was formed at UW-Eau Claire in 1970. The name later changed to Concert Dance Company.

Its purpose is to stimulate interest and active participation in various types of dance (modern, jazz, ballet, tap, and musical theatre) and to develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for dance.

All UW-Eau Claire students who are interested in dance are eligible for membership in this organization. They must be willing to actively participate in practices and in any demonstration or program.

Regular practices are scheduled sometime between 3-6pm, Monday through Friday.
