Active Organizations

Cheerleaders at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire can be traced back for years and years, but the thing which makes Eau Claire's squad unique, the addition of male stuntmen, originated in 1969.

The purpose of this organization is to maintain enthusiasm and school spirit at all athletic events, with an emphasis on football and basketball, to promote goodwill and public relations regarding the University's athletic program, and to assist the Athletic Department in its overall program as deemed most appropriate.

Membership is open to any student in good standing at UWEC.

Two co-captains, one male and one female, are chosen in the spring to serve for the upcoming year. They are the only persons not required to try out when the annual fall try-outs are held during the second week of school.
