The Alpine Ski Team was formed in February 1983.
Its purpose is to promote and sponsor competitive skiing - male alpine, female alpine and cross-country - among students at UWEC and between the UWEC team and other campuses. The team is affiliated with the Midwest Collegiate Ski Association (MCSA).
Membership is open to all students in good academic standing at UWEC.
Meetings are held weekly from October through April and officers are elected at the final spring meeting.
