Sigma Sigma Sigma Social Sorority was founded in 1898. Gamma Lambda Chapter was established at UW-EC in 1967.

The purposes of Sigma Sigma Sigma are to establish among its members a perpetual bond of sisterhood, to develop in them strong womanly character, to impress upon them high standards of conduct, to reward scholastic attainment, and to develop leadership abilities.

Membership is open to all female students with a 2.2 GPA or higher.

Meetings are held once a week. Officers are elected in November.
