Active Organizations

The Eau Claire Chapter of the National Association of Music Therapy Students (ECCNAMTS) was formed at UWEC during 1970. ECCNAMTS changed its name to American Music Therapy Association-Students (AMTAS) in October, 1998.

The purposes of the club are to: promote interest and mutual assistance in the common pursuit of academic preparation for the Music Therapy profession, provide a forum through which Music Therapy students may contribute to and participate in the activities of student and professional Music Therapy organizations on local, regional and national levels, and introduce Music Therapy students to the theory and practice of rehabilitative Music Therapy.

Members can be Music Therapy majors or students interested in Music Therapy, and must pay the set dues and attend a majority of the meetings and/or activities to be considered active.

Program meetings are held every Wednesday evening at 9:00 pm in the Music Therapy clinic, HSS 184. Officers are elected during spring semester.
