The Honors Program Organization was formed at UWEC in February, 1985. The Honors Program Organization promotes and recognizes excellence among students in the pursuit of a university education, stimulates the exchange of ideas among students and faculty, encourages excellence wherever possible throughout the campus, and provides a formal means for students participating in the University Honors Program to associate with each other. Control of the organization rests with the members who are students.
All students participating in the University Honors Program at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are members of the Honors Program Organization.
