The UWEC Student Chapter of the Student Association for Computing Machinery was formed in November 1982.
Its purpose is to promote increased knowledge of the science, design, development, construction, language and applications of modern computing machinery; to promote interest in computing machinery and its applications; and to provide a means of communication among persons interested in computing machinery.
Membership is open to students, faculty and staff at UWEC.
Meetings are held at least six times each year as scheduled. Election of officers is conducted during the spring semester.
