SSS Mentoring Activities are held only during the fall semester. The events for Fall 2011 are listed below.
A Night at the Dulany Inn: SSS Welcome
SSS mentors and mentees meet at this event where new students get acquainted with SSS staff and other students over pizza. A scavenger hunt helps new students become familiar with various campus offices.
Tuesday, Sept. 6, 5-6:30 PM, in the Dulany Inn, Davies Center
Volleyball and Frisbee Fun
SSS mentors and mentees socialize while playing Frisbee and sand volleyball. It's a great opportunity to build more friendships.
Saturday, Sept. 10, 1-2:30 PM, at the Towers volleyball courts
Game Night
SSS mentors and mentees will take a study break and test their skill at Texas Hold 'Em, Apples to Apples, Pictionary, Taboo, and Catch Phrase. Refreshments will be served.
Monday, Oct. 10, 6-8 PM, in Oak Ridge Hall, #15
Trip to the Mall of America and the Theater
Don't miss our bus trip to the Twin Cities! Mentors and mentees spend the afternoon exploring the Mall of America and then proceed to the Mixed Blood Theatre for a performance of On the Spectrum. This play focuses on the romantic relationship between two young people with autism.
Saturday, Nov. 12, leave Eau Claire at 1:30 PM; performance is 7:00-9:00 PM; arrive back in Eau Claire approximately 11:00 PM
Blugold Team Trivia
Join us as we form teams to participate in the Blugold Team Trivia night activity. We will have a chance to earn cash prizes as we compete against other students in this fun event.
