Ethics Panel

In December 2007 and January 2008, the newsroom at WEAU-TV 13 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin was embroiled in an ethical dilemma involving a disagreement between station and news management over news content. One of the results was the resignation of then News Director Glen Mabie.

In a panel discussion held February 16, 2008  sponsored by the UWEC SPJ Chapter and the Western Wisconsin Press Club, Mr. Mabie joined a number of speakers to discuss the Ch. 13 situation and other ethical problems newsrooms face.

This program was cablecast live from the TV studios of the CJ Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire over Community Television/Public Access
