Work Experience:
South Middle School, Eau Claire, WI - Teacher of students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, 1998-present.
Sherman Elementary School, Eau Claire, WI - Grade 5 Teacher, 1995-1998.
Fairchild Elementary School, Fairchild, WI - Grades 5 & 6 Teacher, 1991-1995

Instructional Interests:
Responsible inclusion of students with special needs, full continuum of services, proactive intervention to prevent crises, reality therapy.

Program Responsibilities:
Teach SPED 205 "School and Community Experience in Special Education," SPED 300 "Inclusive Practices for Secondary Educators," SPED 331 "General Methods for Students with Mild Disabilities," and SPED 400 "Inclusive Practices for Elementary Educators."

Research & Service Interests:
Thesis: A Study of the Relationship Between Income Level and the Prevalence of Disabling Conditions, 1996.

Hobbies & Personal Interests:
Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and snowshoeing. Working with my husband, David, on our tree farms. Spending time with our daughter Katie.
