Sigma Tau Delta Meeting Minutes: October 16, 2008
Kate Gill Library, 5-6:20 pm
News:
- Everyone agreed that all proceeds from the Monday, December 8th & Tuesday, December 9th Book Sale would be donated towards funding the Bone Marrow Donor Drive on campus this upcoming March.
- From now on all volunteering projects will have a 'lead volunteer' who will organize the event and make sure that everything goes smoothly. Also, contact information, including phone numbers, will be exchanged in case of changes in plans or emergencies.
- Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help in the English booth at the Majors Fair today!
Reminder:
- Everyone who wishes to participate in the book discussion on November 13th, please bring $8.00 to Gloria Hochstein or Traci Thomas-Card to get your copy of The Coquette.

Sigma Tau Delta Meeting Minutes: October 3, 2008

Meeting opened at 5:00 with Stephanie introducing Sigma Tau Delta (see documents handed out) The Eau Claire chapter of STD, Theta Zeta, is open to anyone who loves English and there are no membership fees. To be a memeber of national STD the requirements are: students must have a minimum of two college courses in English beyond freshman English, have a minimum of a 3.0 average, rank at least in the highest thirty-five percent, and have completed at least three semesters of college courses. National membership requires a one-time fee of $37.

Officer Elections:
We had five new people elected into office by majority vote: Co-Vice President, PR, Historian, Secretary, and Webperson.
Children’s Creative Writing Contest by the Chippewa Valley Book Festival:
The entries are in for the CCWCbtCVBF so please go to the Kate Gill Library (Hibbard 4th Floor) and help judge the entries before the final selection process next Thursday, Oct. 9. Instructions are with the crate of entries and they're available for judging Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 5:00.
