  • English Department Web site! Don't forget to check out this link to see what classes are being offered, who's who in the department, and much, much more! Visit the English Department.
  • The English Festival is UW-Eau Claire's annual week-long, campus-wide language arts conference. It is comprised of student and faculty presentations on all topics surrounding cultural studies, linguistics, theory, and of course literatures in English. In addition to panels by students and faculty, this annual event features visiting writers as well as reigonal ones, a children's writing contest and reading, and live music and slam poetry on the campus mall.   • NOTA (None of the Above) is UW-Eau Claire's literary magazine and comes out every semester. They always have some great stuff, so check it out and visit NOTA.
  • The Flip Side is one of UW-Eau Claire's alternative campus newspapers. Take a look at recent articles and more at The Flip Side website.
  • Volume One is the place to look for the latest arts and entertainment news in the Chippewa Valley. Pick up a print copy or visit Volume One's homepage.
  • Sick of mainstream media? Check out The Onion, the parody newspaper founded in Madison, WI, and laugh at satirical articles that report on international, national, and local news.

  • This man loves books! A computer science graduate student compiles years of reading into reviews and recommendations. Visit John in Virginia.

  • Visit a site with a similar name, but a whole different concept. This site is updates daily and could provide hours of entertainment. Warning--lots of graphics--interesting, but a bit deadly. Visit the Merriam-Webster Word website.

  • Have you read all of The Little Engine That Could? Check out Book-a-Minute. That's right--the entire book in one minute. This site features the classics as well as Sci-Fi. You can even suggest titles for review and submission.

  • Sigma Tau Delta! Join the students who designed and who maintain The Word. The local chapter, the Theta Zeta chapter, was chartered in 1956, and is still going strong, promoting the love of language and literature and developing camaraderie among the students and faculty and staff of the community of the English department.
