The Sigma Tau Delta Handbook

This is a page where the local Sigma Tau Delta (Theta Zeta) chapter's handbook and the International's handbook are combined for information on duties and regulations. If you have any questions, please check with the international chapter at their home page.

Officer Duties

Officer duty information can also be learned by attending meetings and obtaining your own copy of the Sigma Tau Delta Theta Zeta handbook and other materials given to you by the chapter president. For information on all officer duties, click this link for a complete listing of current officer duties.

How to Run for Office

Attending meetings is very important and will help you to become an important member of the society. When you feel you are ready to take a more prominent role, you can run for any one of the positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Historian, Treasurer, Public Relations, Membership, or Web Developer. Descriptions of positions can be found in this pdf link.

Usually, elections are held during the last meeting of the semester, and officers appointed at the mixer following. This way, everyone is ready to start the new term right away! Attending this last meeting is important so you can vote for others running and ensure a quality team for the next semester.

If you wish to run, notify your president before the elections (at least a week) so everyone knows you are running for office. If you have any questions about the position, ask the current officer and he or she will provide you with all the information you may need.
