About SIFE

SIFE Teams provide students of all academic backgrounds an excellent opportunity to network with Fortune 500 executives while developing leadership skills through educational outreach projects focused on the following:
  • How free markets work in the global economy
  • How entrepreneurs succeed by identifying a market need, and then profitably producing and marketing a product or service to fill that need
  • The personal, entrepreneurial, communications, technological and financial management skills needed to successfully compete
  • Practicing business in an ethical and socially responsible manner that supports the principles of a market economy

SIFE is an international collegiate organization challenged not simply to inform, but to help others reach their full potential through a better understanding of free enterprise. Individually, SIFE Teams are improving the quality of life and standard of living for members of their communities. Collectively, the focused effort of hundreds of SIFE Teams and the thousands of faculty, students, and supporting community leaders driving these teams, has created a positive and sweeping force for change that impacts the lives of millions and is literally changing the world.

Founded in 1975, Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) has grown to become one of the largest collegiate organizations in the world. SIFE Teams are active on more than 1,500 college and university campuses in 37 countries around the world. In the United States, approximately 800 schools are enrolled in SIFE.
